HAPC is announcing a new Telechaplain program to connect people in the Tennessee valley with a local chaplain via the phone as well as video calls via Skype, Zoom, Facetime or Facebook messenger.

During this time of great anxiety due to COVID-19, we understand that many people are unable to visit friends, loved ones, churches, counselors, or support groups. Many people have fears for themselves and their families. In general, people are thinking more about the fragility of life and may have more anxiety about death and their spiritual beliefs.  Telechaplaincy offers local residents the opportunity to speak with a spiritual care provider who is trained to listen and address the emotional and spiritual needs of people of all religious and cultural backgrounds.

To access our local HAPC chaplains, call our Executive Director, Rev. Carl Malm at H(256)883-6539 or M(256)683-0471.  We have chaplains available who are of different races and some who speak Spanish.
